Thanks for the Brit education Corinna! The ones here in the states must just munch on a lot of Jalapenos - :) hee hee!

Hi Timelessgirl
No fire comes out a ladybirds bottom - well not the ones in the UK anyway!

Well, I'll be!
I had no idea.

OK, now all the pieces are falling into place... a ladybird IS a ladybug! In North America they are called "bugs". As I said, I am amazed at the education generated from this website!!! They bite??? and spew fire from their rears :) ??? Fascinating stuff. Who needs NPR when you have Curt Smith's Official Website!!!

Its LADYBIRD! little red insect with black dots on its wings!
They are really mean little sods - they bloody bite you certain times of the year!

Ladybird, Ladybird,
Fly away home
Your house is on fire
And your children have all gone

All except one
And that little Ann
And she has crept under
The warming pan.

Its an English Poem.

Oh, I'm familiar w/ the graphic ...someone here even has this tattoo, right?! Carmen? I digress.
But, "ladybug" is not in the lyrics, right? Or am I losing my mind!?!

Wow, this website is such a plethora ( don't you just love that word ) of interesting tidbits...I never knew ladybirds, oh I mean ladybugs, spewed fire from their behinds! Obviously someone had to have been quite educated on such rare facts ...might it have been Curt or Roland???Hmm????

IAO, yeah, I had the same thought about that vid, but enjoyed it nonetheless...

Kate, yes, a ladybug! There is one among the ELAHE graphics, streaming fire from its, um, behind, is there not?

Gabby, you're welcome.

ladybug?!?!

Thanks for posting the video link Katy.

An interesting take on this song. .sometimes I am bummed that my talents do not remotely include the ability to render my visuals onto digital media.

In regards to the ladybird tribute - that's an interesting one as well - very different approach, while both using visual effects extensively...though the one nitpick was the frequent use of the bird graphic, instead of a ladybug.

'Ladybug! Ladybug!
Fly away home.
Your house is on fire.
And your children all gone.'

Corinna, yes I did! *fingertip wave*

Katy,

That was a great video, a nice tribute to TFF. Thanks for sharing it. :)

Carolyn

Hi Katy,
Yes the is a brilliant video - did you see it on my posted items to Helga today on Face book? :)
Now if only someone could do this with "The Greatest Divide" - it would be perfect!

Not very much. I can't discuss it here without stirring things up.

I think Coldplay MIGHT have a SLIGHTLY bigger fanbase than our dear Curt...

hey everyone! Coldplay have done exactly the same competition for there song "lost" as Curt has done with "The Greatest Divide". Difference being the quality of the competition videos. If you get five minutes go have a look - they are amazing!

Mental Note: I must remember to engage my brain before I open my mouth. :)

Apologies 'round the board.

opps..... i guess that told us all... ha ha
ps. still dont like the video . just sayin....

People, people! This is not a popularity contest. Roland and I are quite happy working together and let's keep it that way. On the other hand - yes this is my site. If anyone wishes to behave like a Kindergartner please take it elsewhere - just sayin'.

Yours affectionately.
Papa S.

hahahhaha!!! (about Celeste's comment) :D

The story I saw was the woman imagining or remembering a myriad of colors, so she travels to the desert to attempt to capture them with her camera. Maybe she's unsuccessful? So she tries to picture the kaleidoscope again, this time over her head, as the Sun would be. Perhaps the Greatest Divide for her is that it seems so easy for those around her to express themselves, but she has such trouble....

*Shrug* I liked it.

Um I'm pretty sure Roland has seen this site before. Curt gets more questions about Roland than he does about himself.
