Thanks, Papa S for the info. Playground Love – Air, is sweet to my ears. Loved the movie "The Virgin Suicides" I like Kirsten Dunst in just about anything she does.

Dude, you just took me, back in the day of the Soul Train dance line, don't know it anyone remembers that show " watch it now" with Angie Stone and Comin’ From Where I’m From – Anthony Hamilton. Couldn't find Angie Stone's song. As I listened to both her and Anthony Hamilton's music it reminded me of cooking with my mom, dad, sisters and aunts. Especially his song "Cornbread, Fish & Collard Greens" (Curt did not play this song). As we were cooking and such we would clear some space and practice any and all dance moves, sing to any song like MJ, his sister too, James Brown to name a few. I still do that today, but not much with the really hard dance moves , because I could bust a hip or something. Hey I just cracked myself with that joke hehehe.

Also thanks, for sharing some of what you like to listen to now and then. I bet you were in the studio dancing in your own soul train line when you played these two tunes. Come on you can admit it... I won't tell LOL LOL :0)

It's amazing what songs can stir up... Sorry for the flashback. Have a peachy day.
webwezal :0)

AAahhh you got me man! So that was last 2 weeks? I totally thought you were at the radio station. I was listening online and when I first tuned in on my turn, I though you were playing SOS. I was in and out too but I caught most of the cool tunes. Not that all of your selections are not cool. Thanx for the update Curt!! Yeah but they messed up your mix man!! Still good job though!!!

I think this was the playlist (unless they changed it):
Amateur – Aimee Mann
Playground Love – Air
Only Women Bleed – Alice Cooper
Light And Day/Reach For The Sun – The Polyphonic Spree
What’s The Matter Here – 10,000 Maniacs
No More Rain (In This Cloud) – Angie Stone
Comin’ From Where I’m From – Anthony Hamilton
Lovely Day – Bill Withers
Happiness – The Blue Nile
Winning A Battle, Losing The War – Kings Of Convenience
Ashes To Ashes – David Bowie
Family Snapshot – Peter Gabriel
Beautiful Freak – Eels
Rocket Man – Elton John
Sewn ‐ The Feeling
Do You Realize – The Flaming Lips
Geraldine – Glasvegas
Look What You’ve Done – Jet

I think it was Angie Stone "No more rain in this cloud" - but the show was recorded a few weeks ago and I don't know if they changed it.

Closed out with his classic influences Bowie and Pete Gabriel!! I love the Bill Withers song "A Lovely Day"! I think I've heard you sustain your notes long enough in a few of your songs at the Standards!!!
Good job Curt!! You the man!!!

"You get what you get...and you don't throw a refrigerator" is the version my daughter came up with...

Though easy it may seem, may we always dare to dream.

Hey, Papa Smith :0) What was the name of the song you played right after the 1000 Maniacs? That was thumpin' and smooth.

Love the 10000 Maniacs - "What's The Matter Here". That is from "In My Tribe". I had that tape/CD. Never could get enough of that album. Keep the hits coming.

Curt is currently spinning Sowing The Seeds Of Love! For all you out of Staters!!

anna herrera curt I think you are gert dad .

Thanks for the info, Papa S.! :)
