This has been a VERY inspirational read for me this morning. Thank you for posting it :).

That was a really great read. Very open and honest.
I can also relate with your childhood in a different kind of way, but the same feelings.
As for the "famous" thing , there must be someone you admire so much ,that you'd like to have dinner with them ? I know I do!?..
( did I tell you I have two sunflowers named after you and Roland?) ;p
Your crazy British Kook!!

Great read - thanks Curt! I laughed out loud to your comment "Because I’m like, 'Why would you be excited about meeting me?'" Good lord, did you read what I wrote after meeting you in Atlantic City in 2004??? I wrote down everything about that night so I didn't forget the details and realizing that I had managed to stay in your thoughts after the bus pulled away (as I ended up in the Tour Journal by name and you must have written it later...ok maybe that's a bit weird, but hey, it was an amazing evening from my perspective because I was very excited about meeting you!) I wrote "Me??? He remembered me??? Who would have thought it..." I'm not important enough to draw the attention of someone famous, or to more importantly make an impression enough to stick with him...

So I know what you mean ;)

Thank you for posting this, Curt; this should tide me over until my copy of Halfway, Pleased arrives in the mailbox.

I've often related my childhood experiences to yours and Roland's; the abusive father, the mother taking on too much, etc (though my experiences were not even a fraction as harrowing as yours). But your vivid description of how things were for you back then, followed by your encouraging sentiments of being "content" more than "happy." really helps me put everything in life into perspective. Though you may not have done so directly, you and Roland have helped me get my life back together and learn to be content with who I am and where I'm going, and I can't thank you enough.

Hi Curt,

I agree, that interview was incredibly insightful and revealing. The more I learn about you (and TFF), the more impressed and intriuged I become. Very well spoken and honest. I, as one of your fans, aprreciate it so much. Thank you.

Great interview, Papa S.! :) I enjoyed reading it.

Amazing interview. Respectfully done, and it didn't seem forced. Fantastic.

Curt,

That was one of the most introspective, intimate, and revealing interviews you have done recently. I am very impressed and I thank you for your candor and sharing it with us.

Hugs,

Carolyn
