All Is Love (featuring Zoë Keating)
From release: All Is Love
Written by Curt Smith and Charlton Pettus
Look what you've done
You've blown it all
On vanity and sympathy
See how you run
A pot of gold
And a bleeding heart to go with it
Chorus:
When all is love
And the hurt is gone
We'll all reach out
To touch someone
When every mother's
Loving every son
When all is love
There'll be love for everyone
Look what you've lost
Innocence and faith
And save yourself at any cost
Here's what you'll find
When the bottom drops out
Chorus
Close your eyes and it's gone
Don't look down till it's over
Hold on tight, everyone
We're halfway home
Chorus (repeats)
When all is love
When all is love
There'll be love for everyone
When all is love
When all is love
There'll be love
Look what you've done

I've got the news on behind me and I'm listening to and reading Curt's song while thinking about the damage in Haiti. This song could be a soundtrack to ask for help. Great song and it's always a pleasure to hear Zoe.
Been there, 4Leaf! Just wait until he or she starts telling you which one is singing which song! My daughter's pretty good at it. :)
Hope for the hopeless, prayer, faith without anger. We can change the world...

Apparently it's a hit with the toddler set as well. This morning my little one started singing along with the chorus. Such a sweet moment.
On another note...earlier this week, I was listening to some older TFF when the babe started singing along to "Shout". A rather remarkable experience to hear my child singing such a meaningful song from my youth. A little bit of a reality flip, you could say.
Curt, played it for my daughter last night, she can't wait to have it on her Ipod either! She said "this will sound great with the CD you had Curt and Roland sign for me Mom!"
Hope for the hopeless, prayer, faith without anger. We can change the world...

Dear Curt,
I thought I was going to have to wait to the 24th! : ) I like that we get a glimpse of your creative process as the song metamorphised from "Halfway Home" to All Is Love". There is something about Zoe's cello playing that is so uplifting! Brilliant work - it is giving me goose bumps... I only wish my Mother was around to hear this song - the cello was her instrument. I think somehow and somewhere she knows...
Thanks so much!

I LOVE IT!!! Curt, this is an amazing song. Bravo! Zoe is great, and I love how you blended such a classical instrument into the song...seamlessly :)
Hope for the hopeless, prayer, faith without anger. We can change the world...

This is a beautiful song. It could be the new theme song for Tiger Woods. I always listen to songs and read the lyrics to search for the meanings. Keep up the great work. Your voice is very calming and relaxing something I just do not hear in most of today's music.
