All time favorite! Can't be stuck in an Island with out this record!

Hadn't yet heard of Tears For Fears but, very soon would. In the months following, I'd become deeply affected by this music (and The Hurting). And I'm very grateful to this day. Thank you Roland & Curt.

Happy 25th Anniversary to "Songs From the Big Chair"! :)

Happy Silver Anniversary to SFTBC~

Happy anniversary to this fantastic masterpiece, SFTBC!

I consider the memories. There were momentary lapses into sanity at the time.

Songs From The Big Chair is wonderful! :)

Ooh, I still have my version from Canada - with the picture insert intact - AND a window cling.

:b~~~~~~~ Naaaachossss.

Ah, Songs from the Big Chair. The album that established me as a TFF fan- I have an orig. poster from '85 promoting this album; it's hanging next to my desk right now. And I'll keep it forever. <3 Thanks for the great music, guys.

HAPPY 25TH SFTBC <3
I ll be 25 a mth after you ;)

Didn't get this CD until about 2000. Wish I'd known what I was missing earlier. The more I listened, the more I fell in love. Now I love everything TFF/Curt/Roland are involved in. Thanks, guys!

Pulled me in, hook line and sinker!

Hope for the hopeless, prayer, faith without anger. We can change the world...

Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, absolutely!! =)

Should be in the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME!!! This album kicks!!!!

It's not that you're not good enough, it's just that we can make you better, given that you paid the price, we can keep you young and tender, following in the footsteps of a funeral pryor you were paid not to listen now your house is on fire.

Mothers Talk US remix

Allison and Timelessgirl--- A bender! Maybe that is what heaven will be like? In which case I'm going to have to stop believing in matter and energy continuing on in some other form... And really focus on clouds, a stage, gold guitars.

hey timelessgirl! Yes, your post was awesome, and yeah, Curt is prob like, oh lord. But yes, I could go for a 3 day TFF bender.

Mothers Talk (U.S. Version) kicks!! Not that the original version doesn't.

I like your idea Allison but I have a problem because I really love ALL the albums...I just do not have 1 favorite album. Poor Curt and Roland would have to play every song from every album...aTFF marathon concert. Wouldn't that be something. We would,of course, as true and loyal TFF fans "allow " them bathroom breaks and set up a hydration station for them, heck I would personally fan them with one of those big palm branches if they so wished. But it would be "all TFF, all the time." ...I can just see Curt rolling his eyes right now...
Ok, bad idea.

ummm, I'm glad that you didn't actually do the math (outloud) longhand..it was a rhetorical math problem! The bad news - yep, I'm kinda old; the good news - I'm closer (in age) to Curt and Roland then you!!! ...not sure that came out sounding so well for any of the above parties involved...

2009 - 1966 that makes you... a year older than me! ;)

Hope for the hopeless, faith without anger. We can change the world...

how 'bout that album in its entirety idea, you guys like that? I think I would! I could just see myself jamming to Mothers Talk

Well not me, I was just a baby then...funny thing is I can remember the album when it first came out...I must have been quite a musically advanced "baby" !

Hmmm ...2009 - 1966 makes me......
