The Seeds of Love is my favorite album! :)

Here's wishing your daughter a very happy 1st birthday, Gerald!

My favorite album (The Hurting comes second :) from my favorite band and immensely talented musicians! It is indeed a very special day....CONGRATS on SOL's 20th anniversary Curt and Roland! Happy 1st birthday to your daughter Gerald. Have a great weekend everyone.

That's a nice blog Gerald...was a pleasure to read.

I don't think I could put how much this album means to me in words. I calculate that I've listened to it an average of twice a week since it came out twenty years ago.

But what I'm really amazed by is that its my daughter's first birthday. I honestly didn't plan to have her share her birthday with the greatest album ever made, but that's a happy coincidence.

Is it going to get the re-mastered treatment like SFTBC?

Happy 20th anniversary SOL! STSOL video and song had such a big impact on me when I was little, that when I saw it on youtube 2 years ago during my TFF Epiphany, I thought, "Damn, I know that song and video, it's TFF, nice! I remembered that beginning with the rock wall thing opening, and the airplane, vividly! When the chorus kicked in, I was so thrilled to have known it then.

Congratulations!
This link is an amazing STSOL from the Night of the Proms 2006.
Great performance. Huge crowd. Loving it!

When this album came out, I was 5 and I remember hearing the lyrics "Could you be, could you be squeaky clean?" and obsessively cleansing myself in the shower, trying to get to the point where I was so clean that I would, in fact, be squeaky. 20 years later, I'm still trying to exfoliate the squeakiness out of my skin. Thank-you, Roland & Curt, for "sowing the seeds" of my obsessive compulsive behavior!

PS- "Badman's Song" is still a fantastic jam no matter how many weeks it took to edit the drums!

Wow....20 years in 2 weeks....and GOOSEBUMPS is right Eurydice! The release of this album is so close to the anniversary date of when I first set foot on American soil! I love this album! Well, I love all of TFF's albums but this one brings back so many memories as a U.S. Immigrant at the age of 17 on Aug. 16, 1989 (to be exact). My younger brother and I went through hell at our port of entry...interrogated for what seemed like an ETERNITY! I was TRAUMATIZED, that's how I would best describe the experience (as if our childhood wasn't traumatic and confusing enough :). Anyway, I listened to this album countless times and it helped me cope with my homesickness for many, many months. It was the perfect distraction that I needed! Thanks a million for the music... this wonderful album, Curt and Roland! All lovely songs with great lyrics and of course, STUNNING VOCALS!

Brilliant album. Can't count how many times I've rocked out to it in recent weeks alone. How thrilling is it to roll right from Badman's Song into Sowing the Seeds of Love?! Goosebumps!

I think this is a very good transitional album! The sound in my opinion broke away from TFF being branded of what we call 80's music. (So sad I know branded as 80's just because it was released in '89) I think "Seeds Of Love" is one of the more modern sounding albums that transitioned well through the 90's and the up coming millennium. The presence of such elements like jazz and fusion allowed listeners like me open up to more colorful sounds in music writing! I remember watching the MTV and STSOL winning the best breakthrough video. Thanks for recording this album!!!
