Alexis dialed the number from 7pm until the show started. I was spending time with my hubby who barely came in from the road and watching movie night. It was so cute, when hubby fell asleep, she was still listening to the show. She wouldn't let me listen because she didn't want to miss anything, so I dialed the # on my cell phone to listen. I caught the last 30 minutes or so.
I came on the chat line instead towards the end. When Olivia Wilder told her that she wasn't #1 and she was fan # 2, she was fuming. She kept telling me she called me #2 and I am #1 and she is #2. She was a bit miffed to say the least, but, the sweeter Olivia was to her and the cute stuff she would write ended up making her accept that in Olivia's mind she was #1 and that was fine because she feels SHE is Curts #1 fan herself. She let go and accepted that everyone has that feeling so she became good with it and ended up REALLY REALLY liking Olivia. She almost cried though, when Curt said Good Night, but Olivia made her feel so good and excited that she forgot about the tears that were starting to form.
It was after her on air experience and her crazy commercial for Gungi that I sat her down and told her of his recent update. She sat in my lap and cried. She thought, in her mind, he would get over cancer and that somehow she could meet him and be his friend. She thought she had made a difference.
JUST SO EVERYONE KNOWS, I DID NOT tell her to call. I DID NOT tell her anything. She is that way even at home.I did read it to her, and she wrote the # down herself and kept track of the time. She is always a character and always acts like a movie star kid. She is sad she didn't get to ask Curt her question or to hear him say hi to her..etc. But she will get over it. I am sure.

Awww. Olivia, THANK YOU. I didn't mean it as a negative to you. Please don't think that. It is just that Alexis is a show girl. She likes the spotlight, I, on the other hand RUN AWAY FROM IT IN ANY FORM. I am more quiet and shy and just go the other way from camera's, video camera's, on line phone interviews...etc. Alexis RUNS to them, LOL. So, I hope this explanation doesn't make you keep feeling bad. I thought you were EXCELLENT, WONDERFUL and GREAT. You are a beautiful person, and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for treating Alexis so sweet and for making her feel that her voice is important. Your sweet messages to her and what you had to say to her, made her let go of her little fit and she now thinks it is funny you called her #2 and she did understand afterwards,Now her being #2 and you being #1 she feels is BOTH OF YOUR inside jokes. At first though, she was defensive, but YOU made ALL that melt from her. You created a fan in little Alexis. She has TOLD ALL HER FRIENDS about your show.

I feel really bad to read from tff2632:"Alexis puts me on the phone and I talked to Olivia and I DID NOT know it was still on air. I DO NOT like to be on air. I sound like an airhead or something. I wish that hadn't happened. Now I am VERY self conscious."

Please don't feel that way. You didn't sound like an "airhead" whatsoever, and Alexis was really adorable.. I hope she knows that this "#1 Fan" thing is what I am sure everyone who loves Curt will claim! It's just to mean that we love and respect him and his work.

I just want to thank Curt for being an absolutely wonderful guest on my show. His generosity of time and spirit has not gone unnoticed nor unappreciated, and will always be in my top favorite interviews ever.

I took the show down and edited it for sound quality, as Curt's sound level was far lower than mine, and it is now back up. I hope that everyone will enjoy listening as much as I enjoyed talking with Curt.
