Can't even imagine how a TFF "Billie Jean" cover would sound, although, I've always thought that "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" would flow seamlessly with the rythym in MJ's "The Way You Make Me Feel..." Here's hoping it might remain on the set list for Vegas (though I do particularly like "Ladybird")!

It was their own arrangement for sure. I would describe it as a kind of slow bluesy shuffle. Very cool that it was a "first-time" performance. Roland sang lead.

Love that they did "Billie Jean"!
Was it their own arrangement or MJ's?

Yes, Yes, and Yes! Great show. I've seen TFF the past 2 times at this same venue. So this time when I saw they were returning, I had to ask myself if it would be as good as the past two, and if I should really spend my limited funds to see them again. Well, I went ahead and took a shot at seeing if it would be as good as my memories from previous shows. And I was not disappointed in the least. They were just fantastic. Thanks to the band for a great night!

Curt-- many thanks to you, Roland, the band and crew for a great show! It was a blast! We love having you up here. Please come back again.

Thanks for the set list.
Looks to be a great mixture of songs.
Any photos?

Sounds like an amazing show.
I can't wait to see Roland and Curt in NV and AZ.

Including tonight, I have seen Tears for Fears perform six different times at various Bay Area venues over the past 19 years. Tonight was one of the best. I am still feeling elated. Rock on guys, rock on.

Just got back, what an amazing night. Mountain Winery is a fantastic venue. Curt and Roland seemed impressed with the stage and their surroundings. Many comments by Roland about Saratoga being "in the Top 20 Most Educated Small Towns In America". Lots of references to this throughout the show -- lots of humor!

Great to see them live, and performing SO well!

Here's the setlist:

Listen (intro)
Everybody Wants To Rule The World
Secret World
Closest Thing To Heaven
Sowing The Seeds Of Love
Call Me Mellow
Mad World (Original Version)
Memories Fade
Raoul & The Kings Of Spain

Everybody Loves A Happy Ending
Seven Of Sundays
Billie Jean (Michael Jackson cover - *FIRST TIME ever performed!*)
Pale Shelter
Break It Down Again

encore:
Shout

I am without words, so I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had as much as I did.

Roland seemed nervous leading up to Billie Jean, so he did plenty of lead-up. It was unbelievable.

Ideas ~ please forgive the presumption but I thought we had a date for a drink on the terrace....sans wife. ;-D

Anyone else heading to the mountain winery ??

Though easy it may seem, may we always dare to dream.
