A rare chance to see Curt in concert!
Join Curt and 15,000 caring others in raising over $2 million for Type 1 diabetes research!
The 5-K Walk begins at 10am, after which there will be a concert with acts including Curt Smith, Jetstream and Ralph Oyaga.
Both Charlton's daughter Georgica and Curt's manager Arlene's son Ben have Type 1 (also known as Juvenile or insulin-dependent) diabetes, which is an incurable auto-immune disease in which the body loses its ability to produce insulin.

I would LOVE to join and be on your team. I just don't think that I am really wanted on this team. Maybe I will do an individual walk so I don't stay where I am not wanted. I will ALWAYS do something for Diabetes, CHF and Alzheimers because of my TATA, who passed away on September 2, 2008 from complications of all 3 and a mess up by the hospital. I am still sad, devastated and heartbroken. But, I am trying to harness all of that into these 3 things. That way, my deep love and admiration for my tata, will be in a new, positive forum. I am so sorry about Arlene's son and charleton's daughter. I know we can make a difference.
My friend Jack Mosley a two time award winning Hall of Fame trainer of the year and trainer of his son 4 time world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley has committed to walking on Arlenes' team, he even has told several people about it ! Jack has diebetes and has been looking for a charity to support and give back too ,I recommended he participate in the walk , his son Shane recently threw out the 1st pitch at Dodger stadium with him and beat Mayorga by a 12th round knockout ! Jack is a huge Curtis Mayfield fan and I let him know about Curt Smiths prior Mayfield work.Jack and his wife Selmmie are also going on Oct. 21 to see Curt perform with my wife Rachel and I.

I just spoke to my work, they are going to ask the founder and president of my company, Ace Capital Group, to sponsor me for this walk, since I am his agent and he is a multi millionaire and it is for a good cause. And, because I asked. They know about my grandpa, we call TATA. So, we'll see, and i am hoping for the best. I will do my best to walk, although with a plastic tibia and a bolt holding my left leg together I am not sure how much I can do. I am also obese so that makes it even harder. I will do as much as i can, donation wise and on that day.
