Looks like fun was had by everyone in Manila. Great job, guys! Filled the arena.......not a surprise to me at all. Kudos!

Fred said: "Curt,
May I make a song suggestion? I would love for the band to work up the song "Elemental" and include it in the live set. It has been a favorite of mine since I heard it on KROQ back in the '90s. Hope you will suggest it to Roland. Thanks."

I agree with Fred. The setlist looks great from the Wiltern, and glad to see a lot of ELAHE songs in the setlist. There's not a bad song on that album.

But I agree, I would love to hear Elemental and Advice for the Young at Heart live, also, two of my favorite TFF songs. The Working Hour is another of my favorites.

Tff2632 there should be some seats still available in the mezzanine..that's where I'm at....I'm short, and I wanted to make sure I have a good view.......

Currently trying to buy tickets to the Tears for Fears concert at the wiltern that I didnt know about. NOT an easy feat when I promised ALL 4 kids to go and then myself. Only opening for me is standing only and with 4 mini people, doesn't seem possible, Here's to hoping something will come up for us!!!

this is arguably the greatest concert to happen in manila. i hope you can do "watch me bleed" live.

curt... is there any update on when the tickets will go on sale in hong kong?

many tks and can't wait to see u guys here!

Stephen - I was wondering the same thing in light of NDV's new gig.
Perhaps if I started practicing now...hmmmm....maybe I could fulfill my teenage dream of drumming for TFF!
What do you think?

I'm very excited TFF is coming to SE Asia. Well, perhaps not to my country, Indonesia. But at least to the nearest country. I look forward for ticket sales info. Usually in Singapore (I'm planning to see TFF there) tickets can be obtained through Sistic. But until today, no info of TFF on their website.

Happy Holidays all!

How come every time I listen to 1st Wave on xm and they play a TFF song, they mention that the band will be on a US tour this summer? Either they know something I don't, or they are broadcasting bad info. I get excited every time, but still no official word.

Anyone? Anyone? Bueller?

Biggie

So, with NDV going on tour with Cirque Du Soleil, who's going to hit the skins for the band this time around? Is Fred Eltringham a possibility?

Thanks Allison. I'm looking forward to it.

Curt,

I can hardly wait for this to happen. PARTY AT ALLISON'S HOUSE!!!

Tears For Fears Fan on Ning

oooh, my neck of the woods ;)

Hi Aunt Clyde, there is a possibilty of an east coast tour this summer...we'll see what happens... :)

Are you guys coming to NYC or Long Island any time soon? If so, I would love to come and see you.

2012!! I want to go to the London Olympics and watch the USA basketball Dream team! I heard Plant and Paige of Zeppelin is Performing! Should be Tears For Fears though! Aaaarrrrggghhh!!! "SHOUT" would be a good theme song!!!! Or maybe "EWTRTW"!!

Haha...loko ka Jazz, I don't think it is (counterfeit). Everything just costs more in California! I've got a trip planned for June and December 2012, high school and family reunions. I'm so excited for all the pinoys and pinays who'll finally get to see TFF (esp. my high school/college friends)! Season's Greetings Curt, wishing you and your family good health, peace and happiness ALWAYS!

Rosalie

But we all know you want to try to make the most of any trip! I could only imagine the anticipation of the fans homes for sale las vegas

What the heck!! $75 bucks!?!?!?! I spent $100 on mine earlier this year! That's not a bootleg passport is it Rosalie??
LOL The mug shot cost me $10 bucks at Walmart! Never been back to PI for the longest time almost 19 years. I think it's about 17 hours flight from Cali. So I heard, assuming no delays or hang ups.

I agree with Dorobikoy, it IS going to be MASSIVE and Filipinos will move heaven and earth to get a chance to see them! They are probably the second most long awaited concert since Michael Jackson's concert in 1996. You're right Jazz....I offered to give 'em a tour :-) but 2 days is not going to cut it! Last time I went home the flight took us 25 hours from Minneapolis to Chicago to Japan, flights have to stop in Japan. Exhausting! So thank you (salamat) Curt and Roland for taking the time to perform in Asia next year!
Caroline, passports are $75.00 and takes 3 weeks if you're renewing, $15.00 for the 2 God-awful "mug shot" looking photos that they require.

Rosalie

Thinking I really need to get around to getting a passport..........

Yeah Rosalie, I don't know if Curt will have time to do all that Island beach hopping. They have to play in Singapore in two days, uuuhh kinda pushing it. But we all know you want to try to make the most of any trip! I could only imagine the anticipation of the fans there for over 26 years or so since "The Hurting!" To most of the Filipino Fans, they will remember you guys and will party like it's 1985!

confirmed? WOWRIGHT!!!
finally, i thought fans from the phillippines will forever be neglected. though ELAHE was not released here i still think this is going to be massive, tff better prepare like its 1985 on may 2, 2010 at manila.

Wow!!! this is great I have a friend that lives in the Singapore Fort Canning area and well any TFF fan is just going to have a great time seeing the concerts in May. Keep those dates coming... Looking forward to more updates. Have a great time touring. Thx as always Papa S :)

All for freedom and for pleasure, nothing ever lasts forever...

You're right Jazz, most definitely worth the wait! Meeting them @ the GVR concert was a dream come true...truly! I don't know, they might need a bigger venue....25-26 years of loving their music and then performing for the first time, can you imagine? Nakakaloka! (Translation: I'd go nuts!) Yes, hot and humid but not as bad as March and April. May is the best time to go especially if you're planning on hitting the beaches or island hopping too, I lived in Sorsogon where my mother is from, it is a province located in the southernmost tip of the island of Luzon with spectacular, pristine quality beaches, it IS one big ecotour paradise!

Rosalie

Yeah Rosalie! We had to wait 26 years later to actually see TFF! And the best part is we got to hang with the guys after the gig!!! Rock on Curt!!! Definitely worth the wait!!!

Wow! That's such wonderful news and I'm so happy for my fellow TFF filipino fans! I can't believe it, they've been waiting since 1983 (and I waited along with them :) I suppose you will not have much time to tour the Philippines with having to be in Singapore 2 days later. And then Taipei! I attended Taipei American School during 3rd grade (1979-1980), we lived in Yangmingshan--northeast side of Taipei---valley overlooking Taipei City......beautiful place. Best of luck on your tours!

Rosalie

Solid! You guys are finally touring the Phils. Finally lots of Flip TFF fans will be very very happy!!! Araneta Coliseum is a nice huge venue!!! Yes Stephen that is exactly the venue you are talking about! I was barely a year old when that huge boxing event happened in Quezon City. As I recall growing up, TFF has never toured the Phils. before. Just a heads up Curt, gonna be quite hot and muggy over there during that time of the year.

I think it would be cool if Curt could wear one of these pin sized video cameras on stage and upload the video to this website.
