TFF tour news

In an interesting turn of events that involved 1 - Roland being friends with them and 2 - much less time away from family, we will now be special guests of Spandau Ballet on their Australia/NZ tour in April next year:

April 17th Perth, Caversham Sandalford Winery

April 19th Adelaide, Entertainment Centre

April 21st Melbourne, Rod Laver

April 23rd Sydney, Entertainment Centre

April 24th Newcastle, Entertainment Centre

April 27th Brisbane, Entertainment Centre

April 29th Auckland, Vector Arena

A few SE Asia dates will be added to these over the course of the next week, either alone or with SB.

Peace and love

Papa S.

I am a great fan of TFF... and we are many the ones that enjoy its music here in Sudamerica... We would like to see them in a live concert. .. !!!

Well jeze Louise you guys it's not a competition to see which band has the most fans. I happen to like Spandau Ballet and Tears For Fears.

Gald you guys are at it again. I'm really glad to have seen you in Seattle and Portland last summer. If I had unlimited funds it would be TFF down under for me! (Does that sound dirty?) If you happen to need a pre show yoga instructor, or wardrobe gal, or possibly someone to scout out some good wine, or someone to take over tweeting responsibilities while you're onstage, I can make myself available. I kid. Well, sort of..
;p

Alright, who saw Modern Family this week? All about Spandau Ballet - with an appearance from their "bassist" Izzy LaFontaine - played by Edward Norton!!! Unbelievable!!!! What are the odds that they get featured on this show of all times??!!!!! Best line: "You're not a fandau!!!" I was dying. Great mention of OMD also!!!

Hello to every TFF lover,, I am Deliriously happy to think my dream may come true next year!! Hello Curt,, hope all is peaceful with you and yours. Keep singing and I'll keep listening!!

Its a very, very glad world!!

Hey Papa S.! oh, oh, oh, I know you are working on some new solo tunes... [pant..] can't wait. Is there any new music in the mix from TFF. Yeah, that would be great!!! Fingers crossed for next year. Roland and Curt... you're more than an addiction. just sayin'

F/Y/I- Spandau Ballet is a great band and i meant no disrespect when I said TFF should get top billing, I am like a mother cheering on her child, I simply cheer the loudest for Curt and Roland. LOL. But Spandau has their fans to and I think it will be a really fun tour. I wish I could go to this one. Here's to a safe, fun tour in Australia boys!

Curt's KOOK (or shall I say KROOK?) lol

I hope that the tour is a smashing success, so much so that we get this double bill in the US. I think a super tour could be had with these two great bands together. I'll take it either way....Spandau Ballet/Tears For Fears, or Tears For Fears/Spandau Ballet. Either one sounds good to me.

...someone wake me up on August 1st...Traci, maybe you could do this for a friend?? Not sure how else I'm gonna get thru the winter and spring...and that dream i had a few days ago about being at a TFF concert? Well, believe it or not I went back stage (in my dream) before the show looking for "our boys" and ended up falling asleep!!! when I awoke they were just finishingthe last song of the concert!!! and I was heartbroken ...this IS a very deep psychological dream!!!

ok ok no concert.

Am I the only person who saw the word "If"?

I guess I am just another wet blanket, but I just don't count the chicks before the eggs are hatched.

That way I don't get disappointed.

Agreeing to do something and having it set in stone are two different things.

I hope TFF does play again in the US. But I will believe it when the tickets go on sale.

Just saying.....

MightyAni - this line at the end of Curt's post made it a little more convincing:

"Roland and I have agreed to do it."

Personally, I don't care if TFF performs in Australia, or Africa, or in Asia, or even in Antartica, I'm just happy that they are STILL performing after all of these years. If they end up performing next year in a place that I am unable to go to, so be it.....at least they are STILL out there. I'm not going to whine as long as they are still doing what they do, no matter where it is.

yep... thanks for the reminder tho :0) but it doesn't hurt to dream a lil'...wish... ok, want. it would be nice if it all works out, no...greatt!! Thanks as always Papa S. :)

"We are still looking at touring on the East Coast next August - if it comes together you'll be the first to know." (emphasis added)

Sorry to be a wet blanket, but everybody did catch that part, right?

This tour sounds brilliant. I have a question. Since SB are such snappy dressers on stage, will this influence TFF's mode of dress? Will we see Papa S. in a (gasp) collared shirt perhaps?

Pretty freaking Solid!! Summer tour in the East!! I ought to start looking for some air tix deals! Very exiting news Curt!!!

Now, that would be a great double-bill! I love Goldfrapp.

You know, in a perfect world, if TFF ever toured with Goldfrapp, the "William" himself could join them on stage for "Working Hour" and "Memories Fade..."

Who needs Spandau Ballet ? We need TFF !!!

still hip to the east coast tour. rather see you with thomas dolby, who could be touring on his new album, and TFF will have the live cd to tour for.

I fact-checked about SB, and yes, they had quite a few hits in the UK, even more than TFF, so now I understand the billing. This gets me thinking; if this pairing tours the US, the billing could be swapped, with TFF at the top. A nice trade-off.

"William!" ;)

Just thinking Steve Norman saxophonist,"working hour live" maybe..... hint hint

New material boys or il have a word with the Krays LOL

Hey stephen_kohlmann, I'll give you that... and see where you are coming from. No biggie. We just all enjoy TFF. It"s more than addiction!! hahaha
