Calling all KOOKs...
Papa Smith wants YOU to help spread the word about "Halfway, pleased."
Here are some ideas to get you started.
If you use iTunes, Amazon, etc., please rate and/or review HP (once it becomes available on each service).
If you're on a social networking site like MySpace, Facebook, Virb, iLike, Flickr:
- Add my page there as a Friend, if you haven't already :)
- Add one (or more!) of my songs and videos to your profile
- Add me to your list of favorite artists
- Add a banner or button to your page (if the site permits such flamboyant customization)
- Send a message or bulletin to your Friends letting them know about my album
If you have your own blog or site:
- add a link to my site (www.curtsmithofficial.com)
- Blog about Halfway, pleased
- Add a picture from my Flickr account to your page
If you post or comment regularly on other blogs, by all means post about "Halfway, pleased" being released.
Let the music critic for your local paper or favorite website know the album is out. All the songs are streamed on my website, and the album artwork is right there to grab, as are my publicist's contact details, so it's a cinch for them to give a listen and review it.
Some of these may apply to you, some may not. You probably are, at this minute, thinking of a brilliant idea that's not even on the list - please tell me about it!
A nearly fully pleased Papa S.

KENT JAMES I just joined this site and since 1983 or so I have followed Tears For Fears music since the 1st album and I've also seen Curt with Mayfield at the Galaxy in Orange County solo I think around 1998 and the Tears For Fears album release show in 2004 in Hollywood.I'm very pleased with the new solo material and would like to assist getting the word out for Curt.My 13 year old son and several of his friends also enjoy Tears For Fears music tremendously.keep me posted -Kent
I'am still working out how to do all the things on Curt's list first?! I'am abit computer illiterate? How about Gruno's show?! He could do some plugging, for the new album!! I'll get up at 3.00am tomorrow morning and give him a push!! heehee!
Ok Curt, since you asked.....I have a brilliant idea! (Well, at least I think it's brilliant).
Many nightclub DJ's in this area utilize laptops and the internet to play the songs the patrons listen to. They love it when people request songs, all the DJ has to do is download it and hit a button. I know two local DJ's here who spin songs at different bars in the area, and they both are very receptive to requests by patrons. At least one of them also has the capability to play music videos on the TV screens in the establishment.
So if anyone is ever in a nightclub or bar where the DJ is using a laptop/internet, request a song off of HP.
Is that brilliant?
Kook Carolyn

Curt,
Found this in the "Kansas City Star" newspaper a few days ago. It was in their entertainment mag. :)
